SG Computers Managed Patching and Vulnerability Management Policy
Poor patching practices are an open invitation to ransomware and other debilitating threats. SG Computes automates patching and vulnerability management to reduce the risk of human error and keep cyber criminals out. Our advanced patching engine not only patches the computer operating system, it also patches common applications like Google Chrome, Acrobat, and Zoom.
When an update is available for an application in our software catalog, our team thoroughly reviews it before making it available for client use. We verify the software's integrity and compatibility through automated and manual quality assurance processes and make any necessary revisions to its associated documentation. Once we are confident that the update meets our reliability and performance standards, we make the patch available to our clients.
Clients with managed systems receive all available patches weekly on Tuesdays. This process happens in the background during the day. After the patching is complete, the employee is asked to reboot their computer to finish the installation. Employees who have not rebooted will receive a notification to reboot their computer as soon as possible.
Custom patching schedules are available to meet client requirements. Speak to your customer success manager to review your specific patching and vulnerability solutions.
